| It’s a common misconception that when you buy a new guitar it’s ready to play. Most people assume that it has already been setup. The fact is guitars - electric and acoustic - are mass produced and often leave the factory in a barely playable condition.
|
 |
| We often see customers who have had their guitars for a few years and are putting up with high action, poor intonation or worse. We can make all the necessary adjustments to ensure your guitar will play the best that it can.
|
 |
| Below is a list of some of the adjustments we make on your guitar as part of a general setup: |
 |
- Adjustment of truss rod for proper neck relief
- Adjust action as required
- Set pickup height and string balance
- Set intonation compensation
- Set string arc (saddle height)
- Redefine nut slots or shim and recut nut as required
- Clean & treat fingerboard
- Polish frets
- Check all hardware for correct operation
- Tighten machine heads and pot/socket nuts
- Lubricate pots and switches
- Tighten strap buttons
- Replace missing screws
- Thorough play check
